Kovai Medical Center Research and Educational Trust (KMCRET) is a non-profitable voluntary organization established in 1990. The goal of the trust is to render quality and character-building education and providing research facilities to the youth of India and abroad. The trust extends its educational service through 6 institutions. Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College (DrNGPASC) is an organization of KMCRET trust which was established in the year 1997 under the leadership of Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, as its Chairman and Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami as its Managing Trustee and Secretary. The Institution has begun with four Undergraduate programs namely B.Sc. Biochemistry, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Com. and B.B.M. with a student strength of 78 and with Faculty members of 9.
MISSION
This co-educational self-financing College was started in a rural area in Kalapatti, Coimbatore District with a motto on Nurture, Grow and Prosper, which is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. The College has been recognized under 2(f) and 12(B) by UGC, New Delhi. The University Grants Commission, New Delhi has conferred autonomous status from the Academic year 2015-16. This facilitates the institution's freedom of designing the curricular and co-curricular activities to mold the students and meet global standards.
